Which is the best solution: purchasing my own system or ordering a turnkey service?

Based on your budget, several criteria determine whether you should purchase your own system or order a turnkey service:

Frequency of use (once a year, once every quarter, once a week, etc.).
The number of participants at each meeting (15, 50, 200, 500, etc.).
The total number of participants at all meetings during one year (100, 1,000, 10,000, etc.).

How much time is necessary to prepare an interactive meeting?

An interactive meeting is prepared in two stages:
1) Choose your questions, the rhythm of questioning, and the degree of difficulty (in the event of an evaluation).
2) Create the questions in PowerVote. If you create the questions yourself, this stage simply depends on your familiarity with PowerPoint. This can be carried out in a matter of minutes. For the more complex presentations and games, we can take care of everything, thereby freeing you from having to worry about deadlines.

In which languages is PowerVote available?

English, French, German and Spanish.

Can I install PowerVote Quizz on my office computer and on my laptop?

Yes, you have the right to make several installations for each license purchased (standard: 5 installations).

How do I make use of PowerVote in a large company?

PowerVote Quizz can be very easily installed on all the terminals of your sales force or training department, by simply downloading the program or using an installation script. Our consultants are at your complete disposal to take into consideration the specificities of your company’s computing system.

Is the PowerVote solution compatible with my computer?

PowerVote is perfectly compatible with Windows: 98 to Vista, PowerVote Quizz, with Office 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007. PowerVote Net-Quizz and Net-Report can be used with any operating system: IE5 & 6, Mozilla Firefox, etc.

Can I insert PowerVote questions into my existing PowerPoint presentation?

Yes, PowerVote Quizz can be integrated into any existing PowerPoint presentation, by using the template and layout settings defined in the presentation. Simply insert the questions wherever you like.

I have a Mac and a PC. Is PowerVote compatible with both platforms?

No, PowerVote Quizz and PowerVote Games are only compatible with Windows; however, they can also be used with the new Intel Macs that are Windows compatible.

What is the battery life of the PowerVote voting keypads?

The average batter life is 12 months. However, several factors influence this duration:

The quality of the batteries used.
The frequency of use and the duration of use by the participants.
The storage conditions (hot-cold, dry-humid).

How long is free telephone assistance provided?

Telephone assistance is free during one month following purchase. Afterwards, you can simply sign up on-line for our telephone assistance service.

How long is my PowerVote guarantee?

The guarantee is good for one year. After this period, you can sign up for a maintenance contract to extend the guarantee.

How do I organise an interactive meeting abroad?

PowerVote is present throughout Europe, so our subsidiaries can provide you with the necessary equipment and support wherever your meeting is located. In addition, our technicians are capable of accompanying you anywhere in the world.
If you would like to purchase a PowerVote system and are located outside Europe, we will send you the PowerVote equipment via UPS or FedEx. We have already sold the system to over 60 countries.

What is the minimum and maximum number of participants for an interactive meeting?

Anywhere from two to several thousand participants. The number of participants has very little effect on voting duration.

How long does it take to vote on a PowerVote question?

Voting time is usually negligible compared to the time necessary for reading the question and then choosing the answer.
For a simple Yes/No-type question, voting time can last as little as 10 seconds; however, voting time can last up to 30 seconds for more complex questions and answers.
In general, vote collection follows a normal distribution curve: for a 30-second vote, 10% of the participants answer during the first 10 seconds, 80% answer between the 10th and 20th seconds, and the remaining 10% answer in the final 10 seconds of the vote.

I am organising a meeting in an auditorium. What is the maximum distance between the receiver and the voting keypads?

Under normal conditions, reception is superior to 50 metres (for a room of over 2,000 people).

I am organising two simultaneous, interactive meetings at the same location. Does this pose any interference problems?

No, PowerVote uses several channels, allowing several systems to function simultaneously. Up to 10 meetings can therefore be held within the same small area, without encountering any difficulties.
