Biotherm is revitalising its training programmes thanks to PowerVote® electronic voting system

5,000 people are trained each year thanks to this system of interactive meetings, based on electronic voting.
The Training department of Biotherm France designs training programmes each year for the sales teams of its distribution network. In total, 1,113 pharmacies and 1,302 perfume shops have been involved, including Marionnaud, Sephora, Nocibé, Elytis, Les Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, ... The themes include the identity and positioning of the brand, the performance and the technical nature of the product ranges, sales techniques and growth and new products. Throughout each training session, the participants equipped with PowerVote electronic voting keypads respond in teams to a series of questions, in order to validate their understanding of the messages.
An enjoyable solution for more effective training
Since 2003, Biotherm has shown a willingness to move away from traditional training by offering the teams in its distribution network a new and interactive format which matches the dynamic and modern image of the brand. “The parallel between the technical nature of the Biotherm products, whose performance can be measured, and the technological development of our training is greatly appreciated by our participants” , states Céline Launay, Training Manager at Biotherm France.
Breaking with the widespread tradition of paper questionnaires, Biotherm decided to use the PowerVote solution, which allows it to create enjoyable and interactive presentations, obtain the votes of the participants in real time and display them as a podium, using a video projector.
For Céline Launay: “PowerVote has achieved two important and related objectives: on the one hand it has increased the involvement of participants thanks to the interactivity of the presentations and on the other hand it has allowed knowledge to be validated in real time using the electronic voting keypads”
A friendly response adapted to the need for flexibility
Easy to use, the PowerVote solution enables Biotherm to offer its training in different formats, for any number of participants.
“ In 2003 and 2004, our training took place in the evening and was offered to groups of 50 to 300 people. For 2005, we have used the “road show” formula, with training sessions offered in almost 40 towns in France. These modules take place over one day and are designed for groups of 20 participants. It was therefore important for our trainers to have a solution they could adapt to any configuration, without constraints due to the number of participants”, states Céline Launay .
The use of the electronic voting keypads is also greatly appreciated by the trainers who can react immediately to the themes mentioned, thanks to the display of responses in real time. “The training becomes much more lively and enjoyable, there is a real exchange which was previously prevented by the use of paper questionnaires” , concludes Céline Launay.
